Just then the Crimean War broke out. English soldiers went out singing to their death. But dreadful stories came home of wounded men being left to die. She worked day and night to help the wounded soldiers. In a few months, she brought order and comfort. She returned to England. She became famous in Nursing. For her service to the suffering humanity, she has given the title the lady with the lamp. She set up Nightingale School for nurses In London. She died on 13 August in 1910.
