Gender Disparity Paragraph

Gender Disparity

Gender disparity means to treat girls and women in a worse way. In Bangladeshi society, girls and women are treated worse than boys and men. That is girls and women are not allowed to enjoy all kinds of rights and facilities that boys and men enjoy. I know some families where boys and girls are not treated equally. Some of these families are my relatives and some are neighbors. In those families, girls are not given good food. Good food is kept for boys. Girls are given less costly clothes than boys. They are not allowed to acquire higher education. It is said that they don't need to be highly educated because when they are married off they will be assigned to perform household chores. If girls are ill, those parents are not sincere to treat them well as they do for their sons. If there is any disparity in our family. I feel that girls and boys are equal because girls have the same rights as boys. They are not less important in society. They can contribute to developing society like men. Without their participation, no society can be developed. So, gender disparity must be avoided.
